Mrs. Beasley(3rd grade-Hillcrest) once asked everyone in the class to raise their hands if they "put on a new pair of socks everyday." She then proceeded to make marks in what looked like her gradebook.

But more shocking than that, I looked around and most of the class had their hands up! I thought, "How can this be?" "Are these people crazy?" "How can they afford to wear a NEW pair of socks everyday?" It wasn't until years later that I realized that she meant a CLEAN pair of socks everyday!
