Marlene Sheets Breit

After graduating from Delphi, I want to Indiana Business College and graduated with a secretarial degree. In 1962 I married Stephen A. Breit and moved to the farm near Woodburn, IN. where we still reside.
After getting married, I stayed at home to raise our 3 children. In 1987 with one child in college and a senior and sophomore in H.S. I went to work at IPFW (Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne) where I worked as a Secretary in the Theatre Department for 10 years, then took a job working as an Administrative Assistant for the Dean of School of Business and Management Sciences, I did many interesting things and never knew from day to day what I would be doing. I retired in December 2005. My husband also retired that same year from farming, an occupation he had since he was 12 years old. It's hard for a farmer to retire, but he did it.
Since retirement we now spend our winters on Sanibel Island in Florida where it's warm, and we have our own place. We enjoy many fun activities with our "JOY" (Just Older Youth) group at our church on Sanibel.
I am now Director of our Senior group "SAM" (Senior Adult Ministries) at our church here at home where we do fun outtings each month and also do many Service projects.
We have 7 grandchildren, ranging in age from 15 to 4.

I remember how Mr. Buck always called me "Little LuLu" and it always embarrassed me.

I always loved typing and was very good at it even though I never had a typewriter at home, but that love carried me clear through my career.

I was pretty shy and quiet in high school, so I don't remember many funny things that happened to me, but time changed that and I became less quiet and shy, and have enjoyed many good friends and good times.
