
Penny Soper of Delphi passed away at 5:39 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at IU Health Arnett in Lafayette.
Penny was born on Oct. 1, 1949 in Lafayette to Gerald W. and Bertie (Wamsher) Smith. She was a graduate of Delphi High School.
Penny married Thomas E. Soper on Sept. 29, 1972 in Delphi and he survives. She was a homemaker.
Penny attended the Delphi Wesleyan Church.
Penny is survived by her husband, Tom; son, Romney R. Soper (companion: Gienna Garcia) of Delphi; her mother, Bertie Smith of Delphi; sister: Neta Danforth (husb: Doug) of Monticello; granddaughters: RaeAnn Bryan (husb: Caleb) and Ashley Mossholder (husb: Harvey) and great-grandson, Jackson Bryan. Penny was preceded by her father, Gerald Smith and her brother-in-law, Roger Daniels.
The memorial service will be at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at the Delphi Wesleyan Church with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Dan Fisher will officiate. Interment will be in Zion Citizens Cemetery in rural Carroll County.
